The Week's Top Air Quality Stories

Welcome to Airwaves, a weekly roundup of the most important events and stories in the indoor air quality world. Here are the headlines for the week of July 5, 2023:

We hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th of July! Now that the firework smoke has passed, you might be wondering about how your air quality is doing this summer.

To help us understand that, the U.S. EPA developed the Air Quality Index to measure the amount of pollution present in the air in a town, city, county, or region. The AQI ranges from a low of 0 to a high of 500, where the higher the score, the more unhealthy the air is. Check out this guide for an excellent primer.

In case you missed it, air quality has been a big story this summer, with the Canadian wildfires awakening large populations on the east coast to the realities many out west have been facing for years. Coupled with the reality of COVID over the past few years, many observers are noticing that we are in the midst of an indoor air quality revolution.

With all the increased attention on indoor air quality, there is no better time than the present to invest in an air quality monitoring device like IAQ. With IAQ, you can learn more about what's in your home or office air and take steps to improve what you're breathing.
